Tutorial - Categorical Slicers in Power Bi

Hi all,

This is the first of what I hope will be many tutorials for Power Bi. I started this idea awhile back and really didn’t have the time to follow through with it. Now I have a little extra time on my hands I am hoping to put out more of this little tutorials over time. These will ideally be videos that are less than 5-10 minutes long that will provide a nice little insight in to how I work with Power Bi and create my reports. At first I am going to keep these quite simple, but as time goes on I hope to include a lot more in these tutorials including custom visual creation using the Power Bi SDK, along with creating awesome looking reports using football data.

In this first tutorial, I will show a simple way of working with categorical slicers. I will use both the builtin slicer and also the Chiclet Slicer from AppSource.

If there is anything you would like to see or are interested in learning, please don’t hesitate to reach out!

As always, subscribe here for more videos and to Power Performance Through Data.

Enjoy.
